Israel-Hamas War Leaves Famous Tel Aviv Beach Deserted

The locals are avoiding the beaches due to the fear of missiles after the attacks by Hamas.

Israel-Hamas War Leaves Famous Tel Aviv Beach Deserted

A well-known beach in Tel Aviv, once bustling with morning joggers and strollers, now wears a deserted appearance as a result of the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict. Fear of rocket strikes and other forms of terrorist attacks has deterred locals from venturing outside.

During a significant escalation on October 7, Hamas launched an unexpected assault on Israel, unleashing a barrage of rockets in the southern and central regions of the country.

In a conversation with a media agency, an Israeli resident expressed, “Hamas are terrible people. They are the worst…devilish people. We are left speechless… I was born here before the birth of this country. Such incidents never occurred before. Everyone knows many people, friends, relatives; and this is a small country.”

Another Israeli beachgoer shared, “We used to visit the beach every day… Tel Aviv was considered safer compared to other regions in the south and the north. However, fewer people are visiting the beach and even the streets are desolate. The fear is palpable. You never know where the missiles might land. It’s incredibly frightening.”

Recent reports indicate a grim toll, with at least 1300 casualties and over 3000 people wounded in the Hamas terror attacks on Israel. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed that more than 120 civilians are being held captive in Gaza by the Hamas terrorist organization.

Meanwhile, the IDF is gearing up for a full-scale ground offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. The IDF has urged residents of the Northern Gaza Strip to relocate to the southern part of the enclave through designated evacuation corridors between 10 am and 4 pm (local time), according to The Times of Israel.

The IDF has accused Hamas of obstructing the evacuation of civilians in the Gaza Strip ahead of the potential ground offensive. Earlier, the IDF reported the elimination of another senior Hamas commander responsible for leading numerous lethal attacks.

According to The Times of Israel, the IDF stated that Billal al-Qedra, the commander of the so-called Nukhba unit’s southern Khan Younis battalion, was killed in an airstrike following intelligence efforts by the Shin Bet security agency and Military Intelligence Directorate.
