In a significant development related to the Israel-Palestine conflict, the official Palestinian news agency has reported, that more than 100 Palestinians have been killed and dozens are injured in an Israeli strike on a Gaza school sheltering displaced individuals.

In a significant development related to the Israel-Palestine conflict, the official Palestinian news agency has reported, that more than 100 Palestinians have been killed and dozens are injured due to an Israeli strike on a Gaza school, sheltering displaced individuals.

The Hamas-run Gaza government media office stated, ‘The Israeli strikes targeted the displaced people while performing Fajr (dawn) prayers, a matter that led to a rapid increase in the number of casualties.’

In contrast, the Israeli army claimed that the strike targeted a Hamas command center. According to the Israeli army, their air forces attacked command and control centers used as hideouts for Hamas terrorists and commanders.

Issuing statement, they said, ‘The IAF precisely struck Hamas terrorists operating within a Hamas command and control center embedded in the Al-Taba’een school and located adjacent to a mosque in Daraj Tuffah, which serves as a shelter for the residents of Gaza City.’

The Israeli army also added that various measures were taken before the strike to minimize civilian casualties. They stated, ‘Prior to the strike, numerous steps were taken to mitigate the risk of harming civilians, including the use of precise munitions, aerial surveillance, and intelligence information.’
