Israeli military increases airstrikes on Hamas sites in northern Gaza

On Thursday morning, the Israel Defense Forces confirmed that Israel has escalated its raids on Hamas targets in Northern Gaza area of Zeitoun. The Air Force and ground troops took out about 20 terrorists and destroyed their hideouts, including a rocket launching site that Hamas had set up with explosives.

Troops also guided airstrikes to target 10 positions where Hamas squads posed a threat to soldiers. Meanwhile, in the southern Gaza city of Khan Yunis, Israeli forces killed 15 militants in attacks on Hamas positions. Military equipment including rifles, grenades, explosive devices were confiscated. Air strikes were directed on a military site where a group of terrorists were sighted.

In separate operations in Khan Yunis, troops seized weapons, military gear, and documents. Gaza’s second largest city, Khan Yunis is regarded as the personal fortress of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.

On October 7, in Hamas’s assaults on Israeli communities near the Gaza border, at least 1,200 individuals lost their lives, while 240 Israelis and foreigners were held captive. Recently, Israel confirmed the deaths of 31 out of the remaining 134 hostages.
