The White House has informed us that US President Joe Biden will arrive in New Delhi on Friday and has a busy three-day schedule starting that day. After departing from the US, he will make a brief stopover in Ramstein, Germany, on Friday and then proceed to New Delhi.
The White House press release states that the US President is set to have a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday. On Saturday, Biden will engage in an official arrival and handshake with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, followed by his participation in G20 Leaders’ Summit Session 1: “One Earth.”
Later in the day, he is scheduled to participate in G20 Leaders’ Summit Session 2: “One Family” of the G20. Biden will also engage in an event focused on Global Infrastructure and Investment Partnerships. The day will conclude with a dinner and cultural program involving G20 Leaders.
On Sunday, the US President, along with other G20 Leaders, will pay a visit to the Raj Ghat Memorial. Following this, Biden is slated to travel from New Delhi to Hanoi, Vietnam.
In Hanoi, he will take part in a welcome ceremony hosted by General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng of the Communist Party of Vietnam. India took over the G20 presidency on December 1st of the previous year, with approximately 200 meetings related to the G20 being held in 60 cities across the nation.
The 18th G20 Heads of State and Government Summit in New Delhi will mark the conclusion of all the G20 activities and gatherings held throughout the year, involving ministers, high-ranking officials, and civil society.
At the end of the New Delhi Summit, a G20 Leaders’ Declaration will be issued, affirming the leaders’ dedication to the priorities that were deliberated upon and mutually agreed upon during the various ministerial and working group meetings.
