The first traditional Christmas after his coronation was hosted by British monarch King Charles, who said it was a solemn event for families who had lost loved ones in a broadcast.
“For all of us who have lost loved ones, Christmas is a very difficult time. The British Monarch said in his Christmas broadcast, “We feel their absence at every familiar turn of the season and remember them in every treasured custom. In addition, King Charles praised those who volunteered their time to help others and reflected on Queen Elizabeth II’s belief in the goodness of humanity. Additionally, he praised the “heartfelt solidarity” of people in the recession-stricken UK who are dealing with a deepening crisis in the cost of living.
“A crucial component of both my mother’s faith in God and her faith in other people was her belief in the strength of that light. And it’s one that I wholeheartedly concur with.
It is a conviction in each person’s extraordinary capacity to make a positive impact on the lives of others and illuminate their surroundings, the King added.
The 74-year-old monarch chose a cross-religious theme that was centred on the universally revered idea of light triumphing over evil.
Following the September death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth, King Charles ascended to the throne automatically. Charles will take the title of oldest king to rule the United Kingdom.
The start of his rule as king is scheduled for May, and Camilla Parker-Bowles was also given the title of Queen Consort.
Following the passing of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, on September 8, Charles has proclaimed the monarch of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth on September 10.
The 96-year-old Queen’s passing brought to an end a seven-decade reign that spanned generations and made her a symbol of stability in a turbulent globe.
Other foreign leaders like Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, US Vice President Joe Biden, Pope Francis, and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese also wished everyone a “Merry Christmas.”
