Livia Voigt, World’s Youngest Billionaire At Age 19

At just 19 years old, Brazilian student Livia Voigt has made headlines as the youngest billionaire in the world, according to the Forbes Billionaires List 2024. With an impressive net worth of $1.1 billion, she has earned this title as the largest individual shareholder of WEG, the largest manufacturer of electrical motors in Latin America.

WEG, co-founded by Livia’s grandfather Werner Ricardo Voigt, along with late billionaires Eggon Joao da Silva and Geraldo Werninghaus, specializes in providing global solutions for electric motors, variable frequency drives, soft starters, controls, panels, transformers, and generators.

Despite her substantial wealth, Livia remains focused on her education and is currently pursuing her studies at a university in Brazil. Although she does not currently hold a board seat or executive position at WEG, her significant stake in the company has propelled her into the ranks of the world’s youngest billionaires.

Livia’s older sister, Dora Voigt de Assis, aged 26 and an architecture graduate since 2020, also joins her in this exclusive list of young billionaires. Together, they represent the seven new faces on the youngest billionaire list for 2024.

In India, young entrepreneurs are also making waves on the global stage. Notable among them are Nithin and Nikhil Kamath, founders of Zerodha, and Sachin and Binny Bansal, co-founders of Flipkart.

Nikhil Kamath, aged 37, holds the title of India’s youngest billionaire with a net worth of $3.1 billion. Binny Bansal, aged 41, follows closely with a net worth of $1.4 billion, while his brother Sachin, aged 42, boasts a net worth of $1.2 billion.

These entrepreneurs are prominently featured on this year’s Forbes rich list, highlighting India’s vibrant entrepreneurial spirit and their significant contributions to the business world.
