A man who was recently arrested in connection with a bomb threat made against Taoiseach Simon Harris has been released from custody. The arrest followed a reported threat on June 26, when a charity received a phone call detailing the danger.
The threat led to a thorough search of Harris’ family home in County Wicklow, conducted just over six weeks ago. Fortunately, no explosive device was discovered during the search.
The man, in his 50s, was taken into custody on Friday but has since been released without charges. According to a police spokesperson, a file is now being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions, who will review the case further.
