Former First Lady Melania Trump is set to release her memoir, Melania, this fall. Her office describes the book as “a powerful and inspiring story of a woman who has carved her own path, overcome adversity and defined personal excellence.”This will be Trump’s first memoir, coming at a time when she has remained largely out of the spotlight as her husband, former President Donald Trump, campaigns for a return to the White House.

Melania Trump’s First Memoir: A ‘Powerful Story’ With Never-Before-Seen Family Photos

Melania will be published by Skyhorse Publishing, a company known for releasing works by notable Donald Trump supporters such as former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and attorney Alan Dershowitz. Skyhorse has also collaborated with third-party candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and former Trump insider Michael Cohen, who later became a vocal critic. The publisher’s roster includes books with forewords by Trump ally Steve Bannon.

Melania Trump’s memoir was announced by her office on Thursday, but no specific release date was provided, and it remains unclear if it will be published before Election Day in November. While Trump has been featured in other books, such as one by former adviser Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, this will be her first extensive account of her own story.

The memoir will be available in two editions

According to her office, the memoir will be released in two versions: a $150 “Collector’s Edition,” which consists of 256 pages, “in full color throughout, with each copy signed by the author,” and a “Memoir Edition,” which has 304 pages, including 48 pages of never-before-seen photographs. The standard edition is priced at $40, with signed copies available for $75.

Both editions can be pre-ordered exclusively through the first lady’s website, MelaniaTrump.com. A spokesperson did not provide details on when or if the memoir would be available through other retailers.

Unlike other former presidents and first ladies, Donald and Melania Trump have not published post-White House books with mainstream New York publishers. While Donald Trump authored several books before his presidency, collaborating with Random House and Simon & Schuster, many publishers distanced themselves following the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

Since leaving Washington, he has released two books: a picture book celebrating his time in the White House and a collection of letters from world leaders and celebrities. Both were published by Winning Team Publishing, a company co-founded in 2021 by Donald Trump Jr. and former Trump campaign staffer Sergio Gor.

Melania’s memoir features personal anecdotes and family photographs

The former first lady “invites readers into her world, offering an intimate portrait of a woman who has lived an extraordinary life,” the announcement states in part. “‘Melania’ includes personal stories and family photos she has never before shared with the public.”

A spokesperson confirmed that no additional details were available beyond the initial announcement, which did not address financial terms, promotional strategies, or the involvement of a co-author.

Melania Trump, Donald Trump’s third wife, has remained a largely private figure since her husband’s 2016 presidential campaign announcement. Throughout her tenure as First Lady, she prioritized raising their son, Barron, and championed her “Be Best” initiative aimed at supporting children’s social, emotional, and physical well-being. While she made appearances at her husband’s 2024 campaign launch and the recent Republican National Convention’s closing night, she has otherwise kept a low profile on the campaign trail. Her choice to forgo a speech at this year’s convention marked a departure from the norms observed at previous Republican gatherings in 2016 and 2020.
