In a pivotal meeting between National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Israel, India’s steadfast support for the West Asian nation amid the ongoing conflict with Hamas in Gaza has garnered significant praise from the American Jewish Community.

Jason Isaacson, Chief Policy and Political Affairs Officer of the American Jewish Community, emphasized the enduring partnership between India and Israel spanning over 30 years as a crucial alliance for both nations. He underscored the trust and genuine friendship that have developed, benefiting not only the governments but also the people and businesses of both countries.

Isaacson highlighted the importance of India’s support, particularly amidst the current security climate in Israel, acknowledging the terrorism threats faced by the nation. He stressed India’s empathy, considering its own experiences in dealing with terrorism on its borders, as a crucial aspect of the support.

Expressing solidarity, Isaacson noted the shared commitment of both nations to safeguard citizens against hostile ideologies, emphasizing the significance of India’s advice, friendship, and support for Israel as it navigates through the challenges posed by the recent attacks by Hamas.

The meeting between Doval and Netanyahu focused on efforts to release hostages and provide humanitarian assistance amidst the ongoing conflict in Gaza. The Israeli Prime Minister’s office confirmed the discussion on recent developments in the fighting and the collaborative efforts to address the humanitarian crisis.

The Director of the National Security Council, the Prime Minister’s Foreign Policy Advisor, and the Indian Ambassador to Israel also participated in the meeting, highlighting the depth of engagement between the two nations at a critical juncture in the region.
