While Obama did not immediately endorse Harris following President Joe Biden’s recent announcement that he would not seek reelection, he emphasized the importance of a fair process within the Democratic Party for delegates to choose their next nominee. According to the source, Obama believes Harris has made a strong impression and is starting her role effectively.

The newly adopted rules outline procedures for ceremonial votes for both president and vice president at the Democratic convention in Chicago, scheduled for August 19-22.
