Prince William and Prince Harry’s relationship appears irreconcilable after the tensions generated by Harry’s book and public criticisms. Experts believe that reconciliation is now impossible because of deep distrust and personal divides.
Trust Broken: Memoir adds to Rift
Experts to the royal family, among whom was Duncan Larcombe, who provided the insights of The Mirror in “Explaining, a reunion is possible; you can never say never.” But as far as we know, William is still very upset by his brother’s behavior and has broken that trust which is so important to the royals… They don’t go and sell information and stories or cash in on stories by giving interviews.”.
Larcombe continues to add, “It’s their number #1 rule… a member of staff, an ex-bodyguard, or even a friend of the family. They tend to get completely stone-walled from then on and forever.”
Family Pressures and Distance William’s Perspective
The rift between the royal brothers was confirmed by former Royal BBC correspondent Jennie Bond to be ongoing. Speaking to Times Radio, Bond said, “I think as far as William is concerned, Harry really doesn’t exist.” She noted that William’s life is currently full of responsibilities, such as the Princess of Wales’s ongoing cancer treatment and the demands of royal duties, leaving him “no room in his soul to worry about his estranged brother… I think William has disowned Harry.”
Kate and William’s Response to New Developments
It’s further believed that Prince William and Kate Middleton are in the know about new documentaries documenting Harry’s life after royalty. These include Harry – The Lost Prince. Larcombe remarked, “I think there’s a strong chance they would probably have someone watch it on their behalf, just so they can flag up anything that needs addressing. William is a bit better than Harry at ignoring what’s said about him, but he still does take interest.”
