Russia vows to fight Terrorism alongside India

After the recent Moscow Hall Attack, Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov said that Russia is committed to decisively fighting the menace of terrorism together with India.

Apart from this, Alipov mentioned that the Embassy continues to receive condolence messages expressing sympathy over the significant loss of lives. Furthermore, the Russian envoy said in a statement recently, “We highly appreciate the sentiments towards victims and their kin and the Russian Government by the people of India and other countries. Strong statements of support for Russia and rejection of terrorism in all manifestations were made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, leaders of political parties, ministers, senior officials and public activists.”

Tajikistan’s state security service arrested nine individuals on suspicion of being in contact with the perpetrators of a recent attack on a suburban Moscow concert hall, which resulted in the deaths of 144 people, as reported by Russian state media. Previously, Russian authorities had announced the arrest of 11 suspects, including four believed to have carried out the attack.

Additionally, on March 29, CNN reported that Russian security services had prior knowledge of a potential ISIS threat targeting a concert hall near Moscow. This information was based on Russian intelligence documents obtained by a UK-based investigative organization, according to the report from CNN. The documents, provided by the London-based Dossier Centre, indicated that ethnic Tajiks radicalized by ISIS-K, a Central Asian branch of ISIS, may have been involved in the attack. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the incident through statements, photos, and a propaganda video recorded by the attackers.
