On Thursday morning, three Palestinians started shooting at cars waiting at a checkpoint north of Jerusalem. One person died, and eight others got hurt. The police officers at the scene shot and killed two of the gunmen, reported Police Commander Uzi Levy.
The eight people hurt were taken to nearby hospitals. According to Magen David Adom emergency workers, two were in serious condition, three had moderate injuries, and three sustained minor injuries.
The Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) identified the terrorists as 31-year-old Kadam Zuahara of Bethlehem, his 26-year-old brother Muhammad, and 31-year-old Ahmed Alohash. All of them came from Bethlehem. Police mentioned they were armed with assault rifles and carlo rifles. One of the terrorists also had a grenade. Kadam Zuahara was once in jail for living in Israel without permission.
