An explosion at a warehouse in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, resulted in the tragic loss of one life and left 162 individuals injured, according to reports.
Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Emergencies issued an update, asserting that the situation at the warehouse explosion site in Tashkent is now ‘under control’. Emergency personnel are actively working to completely extinguish a fire that ignited as a result of the explosion.
The ministry stated that 24 of the injured individuals have been transported to hospitals for medical treatment, as reported by media outlets.
Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Emergencies, in an official statement declared, “From the outset, the leadership of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has been present at the scene, and specialized organizations have been mobilized with their resources.” The statement further indicated that the fire had been brought under control by 5:02 am, local time, on Thursday.
