Vivek Ramaswamy, Tulsi Gabbard Top Choices For Trump’s VP

A straw poll conducted during the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) indicated that Vivek Ramaswamy, an Indian-origin biotech entrepreneur, and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem were the leading contenders for Trump’s potential running mate in the 2024 US presidential elections. Tulsi Gabbard, the inaugural Hindu member of Congress, emerged as the third preference. As reported by the New York Times, both Ramaswamy and Noem secured 15% of the votes, placing them jointly at the forefront of the rankings.

In the vice-presidential poll, former Democratic Representative Tulsi Gabbard trailed behind Ramaswamy and Noem, garnering 9% of the votes. Representatives Elise Stefanik and Tim Scott each received 8% of the vote.

Senator JD Vance of Ohio was selected as the favored senator by CPAC attendees. However, he only received 2% of the votes, placing him behind Tucker Carlson of Fox News and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a member of a Democratic family who is running for president as an Independent, according to reports.

This potential nomination would signify Trump’s initial presidential campaign without former vice president Mike Pence. The relationship between the two deteriorated after Pence declined to overturn the results of the 2020 election, which was won by Democrat Joe Biden.
