The Hamas terror attacks on Israel have resulted in over 1300 deaths and over 3000 injuries, causing a devastating toll.

“We are Not Walking Away”: Biden Amid Escalating Israel-Hamas War

United States President Joe Biden engaged in talks with the families of American citizens currently stranded in Israel amidst the ongoing conflict with the Hamas terrorist group, emphasizing the government’s firm commitment to repatriating them as a top priority. Stressing that the administration is resolutely dedicated to this cause, Biden reassured the families, affirming, “We are not abandoning them,” as shared in a recent post on X (formerly Twitter).

During his discussions with the families, US President Biden emphasized the paramount significance of this issue, acknowledging the intense anguish experienced when loved ones’ whereabouts are unknown. “Folks, there’s nothing more distressing. I understand people may claim to comprehend, but from personal experience, there’s nothing more worrisome than not knowing the fate of someone you hold dear,” he empathized.

Highlighting the gravity of the situation, US President Biden reaffirmed the profound personal and collective importance of the matter, underscoring, “It truly matters to you, to me, and to all American citizens. We are resolutely committed. I give you my word.” Earlier, he had condemned the exploitation of innocent Palestinian families as human shields by Hamas during its offensive on Israel, as reported by The Times of Israel.

The US has exhibited unwavering solidarity with Israel since the eruption of hostilities on October 7, pledging steadfast support in its confrontation with the Hamas militants. Further affirming this commitment, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin made official visits to Israel, standing in firm solidarity with the nation in its battle against the Hamas insurgency.

The conflict has caused a devastating toll, with the latest reports indicating a tragic loss of over 1300 lives and more than 3000 individuals sustaining injuries in the Hamas terror attacks on Israel. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed the captivity of over 120 civilians in Gaza by the Hamas terrorist organization, marking a distressing turn in the conflict.
