Hillary Clinton, former US State Secretary and close aide to President Joe Biden, encountered protest during her visit to Wellesley College in New York, where she returned to accept the honor of having a school building named after her. Demonstrators gathered on campus during a women-led democracy event attended by Clinton, with claims that she had been indifferent to the violence against Palestinians.
This protest occurred amidst criticism of the Biden administration’s response to the conflict in Gaza and its failure to call for a ceasefire, with reports indicating that angry students distributed flyers around campus labeling Clinton as the “most beloved war criminal” at Wellesley and accusing her of having “blood on her hands.” While the college administration acknowledged the protest, they refrained from publicly denouncing it.

Hillary Clinton has faced demonstrations during her visits to American universities before. During her visit to Columbia University in February, Hillary Clinton faced demonstrations where she was heckled and labeled a “war criminal” by protesters.
This recent demonstration at Wellesley occurred shortly after Clinton’s appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s “Tonight Show,” where she discussed voter sentiments about the limited options of former President Trump and incumbent President Biden.
“Get over yourself,” Clinton said, adding that “Those are the two choices.”
