Where Is Sheikh Hasina? In India Or UK

Amid the ongoing tensions in Bangladesh, after Sheikh Hasina resigned, she arrived in India on Monday evening. She landed in Hindon airbase in Ghaziabad, where she met with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. Sources claim that then she was taken to a safe house and later will be travelling to United Kingdom next.

India is too in the worrisome situation about the ongoing unrest in Dhaka and its political impact in the National Capital -Delhi as India is a close ally with Hasina’s political party Awami League.

On Monday night, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting with the Cabinet Committee on Security to discuss the situation in Bangladesh. The meeting included Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and senior intelligence officials.

Jaishankar also updated Modi and informed Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi about the developments in Bangladesh.

Hasina arrived at Hindon airbase around 5:15 PM in a C-130J military aircraft of the Bangladesh Air Force. During her meeting with Doval, senior military and intelligence officials were also present.
