Jay Shah, secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), unveiled the official mascot of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) on Thursday. The WPL’s official mascot is called ‘Shakti,’ and she wears a blue jersey and resembles a tigress.

The league will kick off on March 4th at the DY Patil Stadium with a showdown between the Gujarat Giants and the Mumbai Indians. It will host a total of 20 league matches and two playoff games over the course of 23 days.
There will be four double headers, the first of which will begin at 3:30 PM IST. All evening matches begin at 7:30 PM IST. The DY Patil Stadium and Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai will host 11 matches each.
The final league stage game will be played on March 21st at the Brabourne Stadium, CCI, between the UP Warriors and the Delhi Capitals. The Eliminator will be held on March 24th at the DY Patil Stadium. The Women’s Premier League 2023 Final will be held on March 26th at the Brabourne Stadium.
