In the Rajya Sabha, Union Minister JP Nadda proposed marking June 25, 2025, as "Anti-Democracy Day," coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the Emergency. Speaking on the matter, Nadda stated, “Next year will mark 50 years since the Emergency was imposed. We will observe it as Anti-Democracy Day.
